Farmers and Entrepreneurs Discussion Forum in Rydzyna Municipality
On November 25, 2024, we had the pleasure of participating in the Farmers and Entrepreneurs Discussion Forum of Rydzyna Municipality. This event attracted a broad audience, including representatives from public administration, entrepreneurs, farmers, energy sector experts, and politicians. Among the distinguished guests were:
- Member of Parliament Andrzej Grzyb,
- Senator Wojciech Ziemniak,
- Representatives of Minister Wiesław Szczepański,
- Deputy Voivode of Greater Poland Jarosław Maciejewski,
- Head of Leszno County Maciej Wiśniewski,
- Mayor of Rydzyna Kornel Malcherek,
- Representatives of the municipality, local entrepreneurs, and farmers.
During the event, significant attention was given to the challenges posed by the development of renewable energy sources (RES) in the region. One of the main issues highlighted by speakers was the limitations of the existing energy infrastructure, which is a key obstacle to connecting new RES projects.
The Deputy Mayor of Rydzyna emphasized specific difficulties faced by the municipality in implementing renewable energy projects. A presentation outlined the actions local authorities are taking to support the development of energy infrastructure.
Representatives from the Ministry expressed their willingness to provide governmental support to municipalities advancing renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
Member of Parliament Andrzej Grzyb, in his speech, highlighted the need for legislative changes to facilitate the growth of renewable energy. He elaborated on available instruments supporting such initiatives and addressed participants’ questions in detail.
As SEPV Group, we play a key role in advancing the RES sector in Rydzyna Municipality and across Leszno County. SEPV is actively engaged in the development of investments, particularly photovoltaic farms, which will contribute to increasing the availability of affordable, eco-friendly energy for residents and businesses.
We are also working on implementing energy communities, which provide innovative solutions that promote the sustainable development of the region. We serve as the Coordinator of the Leszno Energy Cluster, established in April 2023, with the aim of supporting local energy initiatives.
The forum was an invaluable opportunity for us to exchange experiences and discuss the major challenges facing the region. The meeting demonstrated that, despite difficulties, there is immense potential for RES development in Rydzyna Municipality and Leszno County.
In the coming months, we plan to continue our commitment to local energy initiatives. Through collaboration with municipal and county authorities as well as local entrepreneurs, we believe that it will be possible to implement real changes that enhance the region’s energy security and competitiveness.
